Whew! The semester is almost over! There is only 1 week and 2 days left to cram all there is to be crammed, and I am definitely looking forward to my summer break. It's been tough getting back into the swing of school and homework but it's a goal I set a long time ago for myself, and I am finally nearing the finish line. When I originally started school in August of 2011, I didn't know what to expect. I thought it would be hard getting back into school after being out for so long. I finished high school in 2003, and instead of going off to college like most teenagers do I decided to get a job and help my mother and father out for a while. It's always been a plus for me to have my own money so getting a job was a no-brainer. I always would say to myself that I would eventually get back in school, and I finally felt the time was near. So I enrolled at GTCC and I will be completing my freshman year very soon. It's been a tough year to get through, but I've managed to overcome many obstacles that I didn't think I could when I first started. Now summer break is nearing and I am looking forward to much rest and relaxation. Although school has been a bit of a task for me, I'm still excited about starting my sophomore year!
